This episode with Professor Gary Parker was an intense dose of inspiration. His scientific vision for simplifying complex models perfectly illustrated by his ’Hello Kitty’ analogy to reach the heart of a problem shows a brilliant approach to hydraulic and geomorphic challenges. Furthermore, his spirit of giving is extraordinary, from being among the first to share ebooks and codes freely to his noble advice that professors should embrace their students’ ideas with genuine enthusiasm.
